Describe Yourself:I am a Texas author of JANEOLOGY. I have two beautiful kids, two lazy dogs and an addiction to coffee and books.
About JANEOLOGY
Grieving over his wife's inexplicable descent into madness, Texas college professor Tom Nelson endeavors to find clues in her family history to explain her sudden violence. JANEOLOGY explores the question - what role do genetics and family history play in shaping an individual's impulse control?
PRAISE FOR JANEOLOGY
Harrington begins with a fascinating premise and develops it fully. Tom and his wife emerge as compelling, complexly developed individuals. This debut novel is as much a character study as a legal thriller. -- BOOKLIST
Janeology is a thought-provoking and thoroughly engaging read. -- BOOKBITCH
In a thriller world saturated with James Pattersons, John Grishams and Stephen Kings, this debut novel from Karen Harrington comes as a breath of fresh air. The whole drama culminates in a finish that will rattle your genes. -- NEW MYSTERY READER

Brett C., Jan 2, 2009, 11:56AM ESTOh, one other thing (sorry to ping you so often):
"The English Patient" is one of my all-time favorite films--but I did not read the novel.
If we assume that most novels are most often not especially successful in their conversion to film (there are a few exceptions), how do you feel that "The English Patient" stacked up, in this regard?
Thanks. -
Brett C., Jan 2, 2009, 11:52AM ESTKaren--
I hope my humor didn't backfire.....and that it was taken the right way....(via the wrong way? ha. ha.)
No? I hope (and think) yes...... -
Brett C., Jan 2, 2009, 10:31AM ESTKaren--
Thanks for your 9:23 AM POST. I injected some supplemental humor into thrust of your sentiments--so as to underscore your important comments.
And, yes, I write literary satire.....
